Hot Lap on SP


Turn 1 and Turn 2: Since the corner is an increasing radius, the entry will be a sharper line of turn then the exit; The gradual track out to the left side of the track at the exit leads you a Full throttle at the apex. Choose an apex such that you can apply the throttle there.  (The shape of entry or exit lines will be determined by your power and tire grip.  The exit of Turn 1 continues the arch of the turn 2.  The exit speed is important for the straight to Turn 3.


Successful execution includes the proper braking point, threshold braking (Turn from the longest straight), smooth downshift, late turn-in point, and early application of full acceleration.


アクセル トリガー地点が一番のポイントで有ろう。 エペックス後スピードが遅いとドリフト量が少なく、またエキジット点へ故意にハンドルで矯正する必要が出てくる。 又は、エキジット点が手前になって仕舞ターン2のエキジット点(ライン其の物)に問題が出てくる。 


Turn 3 (Wagon Bend): Since there is uphill from the apex area, brake lightly and enter a bit faster than the geometrical. You can tighten the line there.  The hill disappears and camber goes to negative, be careful the car moving to the right side. Must keep the momentum of the car.


ブレーキは要らないのではないか。 アクセルを一時リフトした後レイトエペックス気味に突入する。


Turn 4 (Chute):  Run a straight line from the exit of Turn 3 to the left side over the crest of the hill.  Take as fast as possible since the Chute is a kink.  There is no time to get back to right side to setup Turn 5.  The concern at the point is threshold brake and downshift as late as possible for Turn 5.


フラットアウト。 エントリー、エペックス、エキジット(ターン5のエントリー地点)の点の繋がりが直線気味になるように心得る。 ダウンヒルが始まりエントリー地点近くよりターン5のエントリー地点(フラッグステーションの右)を見てハンドルを其方に持っていく。


Turn 5:  The left half of the track entry leads tight line before a late (blind) apex.  Trail brake and apply early a burst of power as drifts out to the center of the track and aim to the left edge of Turn 6 entry point.


Turn 6 (Carousel): Turn 6 will affect your speed all the way to the entry point of Turn 10.  It is a double apex corner. Choose a late enough first apex the way that a constant arc will lead you to a well-positioned second apex. Drift car with steady or slightly increasing speed with care of the balance.  Take the second apex to position car at right center of track on the exit.


One suggests to locate the left side of the track at the entry of turn 5 and keep tight line on the concrete along the corner ( middle of the track at the exit 5) and run straight to the middle of the track at the entry Turn 6 to another concrete, instead of the left side.  The reason is Turn 5 is slow enough to take shortest distance to Turn 6. In addition, approach from the middle rather the left side of Turn 6 leads the drifted car over the concrete the better location of the next entry of Turn 7. <--- this idea of the short distance between exit of T5 and enterance of T6 is fine but the others are contradicted to the part5: Introduction to the Racing Line of The Physics of Racing: "The margin (loss of time by not taking an largiest possible circle) is greatest for tight corners because the width is a greater fraction of the length and speed differential is greater."


今一つイメージが出来ず。 ターン5のエントリーは真中か少し左気味、左側では無いと思う。ある程度のモメンタム/スピードがターン5で必要。ターン6のエントリーは少し左気味で、真中では無いであろう。 レース物理学のパート5に有るよう出来る限り真中寄りからターン5に入り(右に寄るのは難しい)又ターン6も左より入れる用に心掛け車を持って行くようにするべきではないか。 其処よりコンクリートにそってアクセルをフルに持って行く。


Turn 7, Turn 8 (Esses) and Turn 9: A proper exit from the Carousel give you a position to take Turn 7 fast enough to get back to the left side of the track for the highest possible speed through Turn 8 and onto the second longest straight, with both late apexes.  It is important to maintain momentum and smoothness.  Turn 9 is a kink and not important. Not to run the left side of the track under the bridge. Straighten the line from the exit of Esses to Turn 10.




Turn 10 (Paddock Bend): Brake lightly on approach to emphasize the high-speed transition and need to keep the speed for the longest straight.  The corner is of slightly decreasing radius, so the apex will be late.  Back on the power well before the apex to get good exit speed.
